LongShot is a Chrome extension that captures full-page screenshots. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data Collection

What We Collect

• License Information: When you purchase LongShot Pro, we collect your email address and generate a license key.
• Browser ID: A randomly generated identifier stored locally to validate your license across devices.

What We DON'T Collect

• We do NOT collect your browsing history
• We do NOT track which websites you visit
• We do NOT upload your screenshots to our servers
• We do NOT use analytics or tracking pixels
• We do NOT sell or share your data with third parties

How Screenshots Work

All screenshot processing happens locally on your computer. When you capture a screenshot:

1. The extension scrolls through the current page
2. Screenshots are stitched together in your browser's memory
3. The final image is saved directly to your Downloads folder
4. Nothing is uploaded to our servers

License Validation

When you activate LongShot Pro, the extension sends your license key and browser ID to our server to verify it's valid. This happens once during activation and periodically to ensure your license is still active. No other data is transmitted.

Permissions

LongShot requires the following Chrome permissions:

• activeTab: To capture screenshots of the current tab
• storage: To save your settings and Pro status locally
• downloads: To save screenshots to your Downloads folder
• scripting: To inject the screenshot capture code into pages
• tabs: To detect which tab is active

These permissions are used only for screenshot functionality. We do not access data from other tabs or websites.

Third-Party Services

Payment Processing

Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy. When you make a purchase, LemonSqueezy collects payment information according to their privacy policy. We receive only your email address and order confirmation.

Email Delivery

License activation emails are sent via Resend. We do not store email content after delivery.

Data Storage

We store minimal data in our database:

• Your email address (for sending license keys)
• Your license key (to validate Pro access)
• Purchase date and status

All data is stored securely on Supabase servers with encryption at rest and in transit.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of your data
• Request deletion of your data
• Uninstall the extension at any time
